The Way of Prophet Muhammad S.A.S

Posted on: Wednesday, December 5, 2007

Allah created Adam (Alai salaam) out of His power, placed him in Paradise and told him :- “And we said; O Adam ! Dwell you and your wife (Hawwa – Eve) in the Paradise and eat both of you freely with pleasure and delight of things therein as wherever you will; but come not near this tree or you both will be among wrongdoers.”(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:35)

However Adam (Alai salaam) committed a lapse and, in forgetfulness he tasted of its fruit, as is described by Allah :- ” Then Satan whispered suggestions to them both, in order to uncover that which was hidden from them of their private parts. He said, ‘ Your Lord did not forbid you this Tree save you should become angels or become of the immortals ‘. And he (Satan) swore to them both (saying) ; ‘I am one of your sincere well-wishers’ , so he misled them with deception. Then when they tasted of the Tree, that which was hidden from them of their shame became manifest to them and they began to stick together the leaves of the Paradise over themselves. And their Lord called unto them :’ Did I not forbid you from that Tree, and tell you: ‘ Verily, Satan is an open enemy unto you ?’(Surah Al-Araf, 7:20-22)

When Adam, our ancestor tasted of the prohibited Tree under the Spell of Satan, he disobeyed his Lord (Surah Ta-Ha, 20:121) , and then Allah told him :- ” Get down all of you from this place (Paradise) then whenever there comes to you guidance from Me, and whoever follows My guidance, there shall be no fear on them nor shall they grieve.”(Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:38)

As it is, our ancestor Adam was expelled from Paradise because of single lapse. He was sent down to Earth as a stranger on journey. Consequently his whole progency was also expelled. Thus our life is this world is that of exile whereas our real life is he life hereafter. The very Paradise is our home from which we have been driven away. And hence, from the prison of this world we have to return back to our home.It should be clearly realised that we are on a Journey. Once we finish our journey, we have to return home. We have to be answerable to every deed of ours to our Lord Allah. If only our deeds are good ,unless Allah forgives us, we will be allowed back in our home, Or else We will have to taste Hell, which nobody ever wants to.

Everyone, Please remember that you have to go back to Allah and this life of yours is a temporary thing, Make your accounts as pure as you can. Follow the ways which our beloved prophet S.A.S taught us all as it is said in Quran – ” He who obeys Messenger (Muhammad S.A.S), has indeed obeyed Allah”(Surah An-Nisa, 4:80).

May Allah guide us all, Ameen.

Yes, indeed, very true, we have to be answerable 4 each and every deed.

As-salaamu’alaykum wa Rahmatu Llahi wa Barakatuhu my dearest sister,

Jazak’Allah for the reminder. 🙂

Wa’alaykum as-salaam
Love Farhana

yes so true , we have to go back home , that is our home , such a lovely thought to know this is not a permament dwelling for us .

Thanks Maryam :-).
The faith in the thought that everything in this world is temporary gives us real freedom.

Funny i was reading those same verses of the quran last night. Good post maryam 🙂

Good post, we all need to think likewise

Realizing the temporary nature of life is one of the biggest realizations that a person can have. There is a saying in English that you cannot take it all with you. If only we realized what it meant ..

Thank you everyone for your support and opinion.

May Allah Bless you.

Very good article clearly stating the message of Allah and his messenger. jazakAllah.
